Countdown
Counting down to our departure. Today, Rabbi Michael Alpern came in and talked about Israeli hip hop, ghettoes and graffiti. Rabbi Michael and the father of one of our campers gave us Tzedakah (the commandment of charity) money for Israel. Apparently, it is a custom to give money to people who are going to Israel. To bless their trip, the travellers need to give the money to someone in need. Documentarian Alexandra Lipsitz returned to continue her work on Children in the Circus. She interviewed people and filmed as we packed the gifts--- a trapeze from Which Way Is Up? Rigging Consultants, a Spanish Web from Custom Built Equipment, juggling props from the AYCO store, the Mary Engelbreit poster, the Art of Life books and St. Louis Arch key rings from the Shoelace Factory--- along with our costumes. People went home to start packing. Tomorrow night, the Arches perform at the wedding of Chris Ross, former St. Louis Arch. He's the bottom person picutred in the pyramid below.
We meet at the airport on Sunday at 7:30 AM!
